The Boardroom

Ever wondered what it's like to mix with the big guys at Celtic Park? Well this blog tells you all about it.

Now I've told you all about the No7 which is where I work on a match day, however, I have had the luxury of working in one of the most important suites in the Celtic Stadium! And no it's not the players lounge, but it is the boardroom. At first when I got told I was working there, I thought this is going to be boring, but boring was definitely not the word to describe it. I would say interesting is the best way to describe it.

It's so beautiful inside, especially since this is the new boardroom as Dermot Desmond ( THE BIG BOSS) paid to get it all done up. Oh and he even paid to get a VIP room built inside the VIP room, nuts or what?!

It was the time Celtic were still in the UEFA Europa League and they were playing French team Rennes. In the boardroom as well as all the major directors of Celtic such as Peter Lawell and John Reid, some of the Rennes players were there including their Directors. One kept coming over and talking away, it was a bit hard to understand his french accent so I just kept on laughing away until he started to look at me a bit funny.

I then had the pleasure of talking away to Berty Auld who insisted I keep an eye on his coat and then had to remind him later where he put it. It is a good atmosphere in the boardroom. I didn't think the Celtic Directors and their wives would of been as nice and as chatty as they were.

As I was lapping it up in the boardroom I then turned round to see all the players getting ready to walk into the tunnel! I had no idea that the Boardroom was situated right next to it.

The game then ended with Celtic winning, which meant the atmosphere in the Boardroom was great, everyone was in high spirits.

So there you have it folks my wee night working in the Boardroom. Even though I love working in the No7 restaurant I wouldn't turn down the chance of working there.
